This guide shows how to connect your Wordpress site with Sensorpro so new posts are sent by email.

This guide will show how to send a Wordpress post as an email, on a schedule.

Once setup, it will send emails on a schedule for new posts on Wordpress.

To begin, select Campaigns-&gt;Email from the menu and create a <code class="inline-code">recurring</code> campaign. This campaign will run every day and look for a new post on your website.

PS If there is nothing to post, it won't send any emails.

Start here

From the layout blocks on the left, drag the block shown into the designer, just above the footer block.

Click on the block just added and set the link to the Wordpress site.&nbsp; Add the tag <code class="inline-code">[YYMMDD]</code> in the correct place in the link so it will match with the date on the post when sending.&nbsp; This can vary by publisher so contact us if this is not an exact fit.&nbsp;

Then click Save and that's it.&nbsp; Of course you can add to the email design by adding any headers or footers that may not be on the site. You will need to keep the unsubscribe link of course but this can be anywhere in the email.

If the Wordpress site contains&nbsp; things you don't want in the email, surround the text you do want with these tags in your Wordpress code: <code class="inline-code">[% ... %]</code>&nbsp; Then only content between these tags will be included in the email.

PS Only content between the <code class="inline-code">&lt;body&gt;</code> tags will be included.

Design the email

For now, send a test email to internal contacts or a seed list to see how it looks before production.&nbsp; Pick a few emails that you traditionally test with and specify them here.

Later, we will come back and create another segment that will select everyone or other filters of your choosing.

Select subscribers

On the Broadcast step, add a new broadcast like below. Specify a subject line and select the design we made earlier with the test segment.&nbsp;

Click OK and a broadcast should show like below. Click the red ↺ icon to activate the schedule.

On the schedule screen below, click Enable &amp; select Day.

Then choose a date/time to start.&nbsp; Click OK to activate. 

The red ↺ icon will turn <code class="inline-code">green</code>.&nbsp;Now each day this campaign will look for a post at this time (UTC timezone) and send the email to&nbsp; the segment selected.&nbsp;

Check the Completed broadcasts tab to verify the email was sent and of course check the email inbox to make sure everything is as you expect it.&nbsp;

Send the email

Once the email is working as expected, create a segment for the subscribers that should receive this email.&nbsp;

Click the Select contacts tab on the campaign and create a new segment.

Then return to the Send email tab and add a new broadcast as before, set the schedule but use your new segment.

PS We advise keeping&nbsp; the test segment to run an hour or so before the production segment. That way if there is any issue with the Wordpress content or you would like to skip this issue, you can pause the broadcast by de-activating it. ie click the green ↺ icon and reschedule for the following day.
